Serial Number Help
Where to Find Your Serial Number
A serial number is the most reliable way to find the exact part. Here is where to look on each brand we support.
Mercury Marine Outboards
Look for a small plate about one inch square on the starboard side of the motor near the motor mount. On older motors it may also be stamped on the engine block.
Yamaha Outboards
Check the information tag on the port side, usually on the motor mount or bottom cowl. A model number such as F150TLRD paired with the model year also helps.
Volvo Penta
Volvo Penta uses three serial numbers for the engine, transom, and drive. Lift the engine cover and check the plate on top of the valve cover.
MerCruiser
Look under the engine cover, commonly on the valve cover or air cleaner. A model sticker also shows your drive type, such as Alpha or Bravo.
